PT Gets Shoutout in Ha'aretz

In this dialogue with Ha'aretz US Chief Correspondent Shmuel Rosner, independent futurist, social researcher and strategy planning consultant Tzvi Bisk gives a shoutout to PresenTense Magazine as one of the initiatives and publications (along with Zeek Magazine and Heeb Magazine) as helping to evolve a new direction for American Jewish identity:

Until most recently the major religious divisions of American Jewry have been derivative: Orthodoxy, Reform and Conservative all have their roots in Europe. Reconstructionism and the Society for Humanistic Judaism are products of the unique American experience and if these two relatively small movements could finally manage to make themselves more attractive to larger numbers of Jews they could be one of the foundations of a distinctive American Judaism.

In the meantime there are myriad other new developments beginning to define an American Jewish identity that is not necessarily religious. Magazines such as Zeek, Presentense and Heeb as well as others.
