PresenTense's final "Windows Into the Future" begins tonight at 6pm in Jerusalem. There, the summer 2008 fellows of PresenTense will be pitching their ventures to the community. It's not just the culmination event of their work, but a testimony to the hours of support that volunteers, coaches, mentors, friends, colleagues, peers, and teachers, and more have invested in the fellows' projects. Asaf Baner is among the founders and the current director of the Israeli nonprofit organization B'Maaglei Tzedek, which works to create a just society operating in accordance with the values and ethics of Jewish Tradition. Among B'Maaglei Tzedek's widely acclaimed projects is the social seal; a form of social kashrut that is accorded to restaurants that adhere to basic workplace ethics and standards. A Jerusalemite by birth, Asaf has a degree from the Hebrew University in psychology and business management.
