Network Animator - Jerusalem and North America

Interested in developing an international movement focused on unleashing the creative potential of the Jewish People? Working with activists and communities around the world and across the political spectrum to help generate dialogue and new ideas for educational programming and events? The Network Animator position might be for you. We're looking for someone to be formally based in the Jerusalem office of PresenTense, but to be willing to travel across North America--and possibly beyond--on a semi-regular basis. Applicants must have experience organizing grassroots networks, planning and executing community events, and a background in youth movements is a plus. More information on the position here. 

Summer Institute Coordinator - Jerusalem

The PresenTense Institute is a six-week summer program training social entrepreneurs from around the world to launch projects that seek to solve problems facing the Jewish People and the World. An intensive fellowship-based program, fellows are exposed to leading thinkers and doers from across the disciplinary spectrum. The Institute coordinator is the front-line actor in charge of fellow experience and program quality and coordination. More information on this position here. 

Boston Educator - Boston, MA

PresenTense's Boston Social Entrepreneurship Fellowship is piloting Spring 2009 in partnership with the CJP, and we're seeing a bright and experienced educator for part-time support and coordination who may eventually lead our efforts in the community. Magazine Distribution - Chicago, IL

PresenTense needs short-term help in distributing its magazines! Hourly, easy work that can be done from home or the home of our managing editor (free food!) to regulate lists, stuff envelopes, print labels and help transport to the mail. $8/hr. For more details, contact: editor@presentense.org.

Internships

PresenTense is looking for several interns for our Jerusalem office. 

Technology Intern (2 positions)

Will work with CTO to develop technical infrastructure for organization and build and expand PresenTense's digital presence via website, resource library, and others.

Skills: Fluency in HTML, PHP, DRUPAL, backend programming, IT and Infrastructure.

Israeli Strategic Consulting Education Intern (2 positions)

Work with PresenTense educators to develop a training program for Israeli nonprofit social entrepreneurs. Learn cutting edge strategies and tools, and develop field-specific applications. 

Management and Business Intern

Work side by side with executive team to build the business infrastructure of PresenTense Group. Intern will have the opportunity to work with the Magazine, Institute, and Network areas of the organization.

Skills: Organized, attention to detail, writing skills, comfortable with a fast-paced environment.

Web Editor Intern

Work with PresenTense Magazine Executive Editor to cultivate and expand web-only content, and publish PresenTense Group's content on our website.

Active projects include improving our magazine website and core website via organization of current site and content, and expansion of new content and features, and managing website content and posting updates about recent events, including articles, photos, and videos

Skills: Quick learner with new computer programs, attention to detail, organized. Interest in and/or background in journalism a plus, as is experience with HTML.
